General Info
- Two age groups will compete: Kids (ages 1–12) and Big Kids (ages 13–103).
- Entry is free — but you must be present at judging time to claim your prize.
- First and second place will be awarded in each age group.
- Prizes:
Kids — 1st place: 100 honey sticks | 2nd place: 50 honey sticks
Big Kids — 1st place: gift basket + 5 lbs. of local honey | 2nd place: small gift basket + 2 lbs. of local honey
Contest Rules
- Decorate a hat or bonnet using lavender and honey as your theme. A store-bought hat may serve as your base, but it must include some handmade elements. Hats must be wearable.
- One entry and one prize per person.
- Judging will take place from 11:30am-12:30pm at the Bruka Entertainment Stage near the California Building. You must be present to enter and win. Winners will be announced at 12:30pm at the Bruka Entertainment Stage.
Judging
1. A panel of community members will serve as judges.
2. Entries will be scored on the following criteria:
a. Creativity & originality
b. Visual appeal & impact
